Speak up, without messing things up

In these challenging times, we are faced with all kinds of pressures from the people around us. Whether you are doing important work, out in the world. Or are cooped up at home with family or friends.

Now, more than ever, we need to be able to resolve our issues with the people in our lives, quickly and easily so we can focus on what’s important and navigate this new normal as best we can.

To speak up using kindness, when it matters, not clam up and allow things to fester.

We've created this short course so you can quickly learn the foundations of kinder feedback. The structure, tone and words that work.

So, you can give great feedback, without the blowback. Talk it out, without falling out.

This quick guide to the essentials of feedback is packed with practical tools and advice you can start using right away. You’ll find it’s time very well spent.

I've spent full days on courses in the past and not got as much out of them as I have from this short, practical, engaging intro to better, kinder feedback. Tim is a great presenter and clearly knows his stuff! Easy to dip in and out; flowed really well - and came out of it with valuable takeaways that I've already put into practice. A really helpful course delivered effectively - well worth it! Thanks Tim.

Like many teams, mine operates under stress most of the time, and so a model which is easy to remember, yet instantly impactful, is a great tool to have in the box. I've no doubt that Tim is right about the volume of positive feedback that's needed in the working world today, this is 29 minutes well spent for anyone, team member, leader, consultant, everyone.

Thank you so much. I found your course really helpful and will start practising straight away! I like that it starts with the facts and then gives the opportunity for dialogue to try and avoid us backing off into our respective corners.

If there's one piece of self development, self awareness or self relection you do during lockdown, then do this..... Tim Keogh is one of the most engaging people I've come across for this sort of development; it's well worth some of your time to explore what he has to say. He has an enviable passion for it. Feedback about the Kinder Feedback approach

The BUILD feedback approach really works

Lisa Thomson, Executive Director, Epsom and St Helier University NHS Trust

Two of our senior doctors had two colleagues who had been absolutely entrenched in their poor behaviour towards each other. Over two years nothing they had said had made any difference, they had tried everything including coaching and mediation. Then they tried BUILD. And the result was amazing. Revolutionary. Almost instantly, for the first time these two members of staff got it, understood what they were doing, and the impact it was having on each other and the wider team. And they changed their practice as a result. It was phenomenal.

BUILD works because it's about learning

Kevin Seales, HR Director, University of Otago

After reviewing the popular feedback and bystander intervention tools out there, we chose BUILD. It’s now our way of giving feedback. We’ve found it to be clear, simple and effective. BUILD makes it safe to speak up about poor behaviour, but it’s also great for performance discussions, and feedback to students. BUILD is a kinder way to give feedback, because for both sides it’s about learning, and that fits so well with our values.
